These pieces are the final result of shifting my perspective of clay from a medium to create vessel forms into clay as a painting matter. Using a selection of clay bodies and coloured porcelain clays I created compositions of colour on the flat surface.  Making marks with my fists, I added clay, spread, interwove and moved the various coloured clay bodies in spontaneous ways. Those clay canvasses were then restructured and assembled into three-dimensional works. Drawing, painting, and ceramic processes became bound together as one process. I view them as a perpetual experimental process, not as concluded outcomes were separation, finality or confinement exist.
