To highlight the interplay of mediums through drawing and mark making I created these vessels in response to my charcoal drawings. I worked the clay in similar ways but in colour reverse. Using slabs of black stoneware clay as the canvas I placed lumps of porcelain pieces randomly on top. I impressed and swiped the materials together, the lively action produced monochromatic gestural drawings in the form of a vessel.
