This series of monoprints came about after an unsuccessful acrylic painting session. I was not happy with the colour results that occurred in that particular moment and considered what can I do now to embrace it. I took some blank paper and placed it on top of the still wet painting. The resulting print highlighted the visible movement of my hands as they had applied the paint. Like forensic latent print, through its linear impressions, it reconstructed the journey of my hands. The immediacy of this printing process resonated with me and reminded me of the similar joy I would experience when my hands danced with the material of clay on the potters wheel, fluidity and movement accessible in new ways.
